North Korea Mini-Mod for Rise of Nations Extended Edition

UPDATE: Added new unique unit! North Korea can now build Musudan Ballistic Missiles in the information age! They are shorter range than the standard Cruise Missiles but with a larger splash damage. I have also changed the building art set from the more generic Asian one to the Korean one which is also used by the default Korean nation in the game.

Hello, Kaiser_Mobius here, and I am pleased to present my newest nation mini-mod for Rise of Nations: Extended Edition!

This time, I have added North Korea as a playable country in the game. For this mod, I have substituted the Aztec civilization for North Korea, by changing their city and leader names, changing which unit and building art sets they use, and giving them a few unique units. The KPA infantry and KPA Assault Infantry use the data files for the default Aztec Jaguar infantry and Jaguar assault infantry, with some different unit models. The KPA infantry use the model for the Chinese Manchu infantry, with a slightly recoloured yellow/beige uniform, while the KPA Assault infantry uses the Russian shock infantry model with a recoloured texture. The PT Boat is a naval unit whose files are already in the game, I just enabled the unit for North Korea. Finally, the BM-21 has the same stats as the information age Rocket Artillery, but uses the Russian Katyusha rocket launcher model with a recoloured texture.

To download the mod, all you should need to do is click the subscribe button. To play the mod, select the Aztecs as the player nation on the skirmish battle setup screen, then select the North Korea mod under the drop-down mods menu. This way you can enable or disable the mod at your leisure.

I recommend playing the mod in either the Modern or Information ages, as those are the eras it is designed to be played in. I am pretty sure there aren't any major bugs or problems. The only little glitch is the movement animation for the BM-21 makes the rocket launcher on the vehicle flap up and down, kinda like pac-man. :D If I can figure out how to fix that I will make sure to release an update.

Please feel free to provide constructive feedback or recommendations, or share any ideas for other nation mods I may or may not try to make in the future! I am currently leaning towards making either Libya or Ukraine, but any suggestions are more than welcome. Also, please let me know if you have any problems with the mod.

I use photoshop, but any program that can open .TGA files will work.

Hahaha thats a great idea, maybe I can find a way to have their missiles/nukes explode on the launch pad? ;) Thank you for your comments!

also it would be funny idk how hard it would be to do this (i know nothing about coding)but maybe the nuke could spiral all over the place on the way up?

Nukes? Hehe, maybe I will mod North Korean nukes to not work as well? :D

Although it does make me think: perhaps I could try replacing the info-age tomahawk missile with a more basic style Scud or Nodong? Less accurate but does more damage or something? Hmmmm....I will look into that!
