Also! Before we get into the meat of the mod.
I'd just like to let everyone know that I'd LOVE to see any ships you make using the GOL.
And would be pleased to display some fo that User-Made artistic ship construction on the mod page!

Now on with the show!

You know.
It's difficult to make itsy-bitys little ships a lot of the time.

However today I present a faction. That is tailor made for that use.

The Greatest Of The Least.
Are minuscule.

For them.

Making big ships.

Is difficult.

And that's what makes them special.

On the smallest of 3 moons.
Orbiting the smallest of 3 planets.
In the smallest of 3 solar system
In the smallest of all galaxys.

Live the Gemdeven. A tiny race.
The size of a Terran hand at best.

Or a Sentinal arm...

They are arguably the least race in the Universe.
In terms of size anyway.


And for many years.

This bunch of disiplined, determined, ( and by all means compleatly devoide of fear ) Gemdeven people have strived towards the sky.
And finnaly.
Today infact.
Have taken to the stars.

After years of toil.
They have constructed ENOURMOUS stations.
Of unimaginable Gemdeven levels of power.

They thought themselves undefeatable!

Well... untill the Red's popped their heads in and gave the GOL a right thrashing Preez-Kavanto style.
( Terran cowboy style for those illiterate in Gemdeven language. )

However.
They have retrofitted their ships.

And have declared themselves as the rightious adversarys of all
"Big ship weilding basterds!" - GOL Seargent Keelmar Teveet.

And they will REAP RIOTOUS VENGEANCE UPON THE UNIVERSE.

THEY WILL UNLEASH THERE MEGA-CARRIERS.
THEIR DREADNOUGHTS.
THEIR INDOMITABLE WILL.


For they have declared themselves.



AND THEY. WILL. PREVAIL.

Hopefully...

To the GOL.

A little experiment of mine, to see if a tiny little faction could ever possibly be on an equal playing field when compared to something like the AOO. ( Alphas Of Orion )

This is a brilliant challenge for anyone seeking a small faction WITH A LOT OF - balanced - PUNCH.

There are already a plethora of options for you to entertain.

And designs to enjoy.

Mk 1, 2, 3

The Partonoid Cannon is the backbone of your ships.
Reliable, and effective.
Put it on your fighters.
And apply liberally to everything else!


Everyone needs Point Defense.

And these minuscule little blocks are PD supreme!
Cheap, and effective.
Once again. Apply liberally!


A mineute, cheap and pathetic Lazer, designed to deal with swarms of cheap saturation, or, overwhelming numbers of missiles or drones.


Missiles controlled by Tactical-Annihilation-Rectification-Guidance AI's.
Or TARG's.
Useful, and quick to construct.
TARG's are the must have for anyone looking to obliterate the enemy before they can annihilate you back.


Similar to the Furie TARG's, however, the AI is set to a perserve state.
And the shell is armed with a CazNem Tacton Laser.

Once again, a usefull long range weapon.
Ideal, for station defence.


P.R.A.C.T.A. or Perimiter-Rectification-And-Contained-Turret-Armarment drones.
Are large ball shaped drones with a self contained shield generator and a medium power Partonoid Cannon.

Once again, Ideal for Station or Region Defence.


The most necessary item for any G.O.L. Ship.
MRS's are highly resilient. And small enough to pack into most designs.
Their protection range is also large enough to cover most "light" designs.


Size's: Large, and HUGE.

The ship construction centers of the GOL.
The HUGE variant, is most often found on Stations and the like.


A bit of tech stolen from the Yalunder Defenders.
Allows a station to grip into the very fabric of reality, and hold itself in place.
Effectively becoming, unmovable.


Simmilar to the Terran Mortar,
the CCA is a powerfull weapon once charged to full power.
And especially in the hands of a captain that can aim it.

A large area of Splash Damage makes it effective against anything with overall low HP.


A spinal mounted concentrated pulsing laser weapon.
Not too dangerous in short bursts. However if the connection is sustained it can deal large amounts of damage.


Another spinal mounted cannon.
On it's own it is exceedingly deadly.
And if you make a battery of the things, they can chow through ANY opposition.


A pretty decent laser. Designed for burning battleships to cinders.


A megalithic weapon. Takeing up the space of a GOL town. Use it wisely. It's VERY powerfull.


The native plants of the Gemdeven. Resiliant, versatile.
And just like their cultivators.
Very stubborn.


A MASSIVE Capital-Class torpedo launcher.
This thing... is seriously huge.
There are no other GOL weapons as huge, and as dangerous. As this...
