my planet modding guide
There are official guides by KSH as well which may be more in-depth.
Model: Grayscale
Depth: 16 Bits Float
Profile: gray built-in (Default)
You need float I believe. Integer doesn't allow decimal points, if that changes anything.
Model: Grayscale/Alpha
Depth: 16-bit interrger/channel
Profile: Gray built-in
I still get wrong forrmat errors from SE. Although I can open up the World Machine export image and it will have the same set up and work fine.
I been creating a Dune style planet but have ran into software limitations on the fact I don't own photoshop yet. With this limitation being my inability to export 16bit greyscale hightmapsI have a specific resource I designed for desert planets and have custom voxel textures as well. What I was woundering is if I could have your permission to use your wounderful hight maps. I think they are fantasticly done and though I plan to use my own when I get the software. I think yours would suit just as well for now.
I will give you full credit within the mod for providing the hightmaps, as well as being my template which I have based my planet on.
