Michi Collection

Description
This mod is a collection of popular Michi maps. I made it because at the moment there is no other one out there in the workshop which contains standard Michi maps that works, and the authors of old workshop mods do not answer to questions to transfer them to the new one.

"Michi" is a map where the teams are separated by a big line of wood, which has to be cut first before you can attack. It's especially supposed to help new players because they can't be attacked at the start before having built up. While most players seem to have this kind of maps already, there maybe newbies like me who just want to start playing them and are therefore suffering for them not being in the workshop.

You may as well enjoy the other map packs I uploaded:
Blind Random complete
African Standards
The Empire Collective Cup (TEC) map pack
GigaRandom Map Pack

This collection includes:
- Michi Flat (in-game name: 03_Michi_Flat)
- Michi Clean v2 (in-game name: Michi Clean v2.0)
- Ultimate Michi (in-game name: The Varied Michi)
- Michi x45 - fair no rush map (in-game name: Michi x45 0 norm)
- Michi 2015
- Michi 2015 (No dog)
- Michi 2015 (No dog) (HIGHres)

The map name "Michi" probably refers to the state Michigan in the USA and its dense forests and not to a women's high-end active lifestyle collection designed by Michelle Watson. (source: Cysion, BokiSergy on http://www.aoczone.net/viewtopic.php?p=147179)

=================

Hint from one of the authors for scripters:
(if anyone is asking for specific changes, I would be able to make different versions of the map, my own)

The map script "michi x45 0 norm.rms" (open with a text editor) has a few more features build in, disabled by default. Just change some comments (set/unset some flags by removing/adding /* and */) at the top of the file (lines 45-66), choose a new name and save.
There are flags for flatlands/hills, lakes, fish, relics, nothing (no food/no gold/no stone), extra resources, random look and feel (desert, pine, jungle), desert, pine, jungle, default gold (3 piles, not 2), borderroads (edge free from berries, piles) and the eye candy flying dog.
You can also enable towers, rocks and HHB-trees (HHB = Holz-Hacker-Buben, a team from the old days when I started AoE2). HHB-trees can't be cut with siege onager. There is a reason why i disabled most of this options by default. ;)
Easy to change. Try it. Have fun.

Sorry, haven't check here for comments for quite some time, apparently ... No need to give credit for me, I just put these maps together. But please make sure to credit the authors.

I've notice that there is no Michi mod in Voobly. Is it ok if I port this there? I'll put you in the credits.

Can you make a michi map with insane amount of resources?

Thanks for your response. I don't believe it is an issue with the maps.

The Maps used to work great!

I just uninstalled and reinstalled the game and it is working fine now. But, I cannot root cause the issue.

Nevertheless, things are fine now. Have a great day!

I can't really see why things would have changed recently. I didn't change anything to the mappack. Which map were you using? Did you play the Open Beta (5.4)?
