World's Fastest Plague

Due to public outcry over doctors unnecessarily diagnosing fake diseases and giving out prescriptions that are really just sugar pills, the world decided to boycot doctors for a whole year. During this time, a new bacterial plague surfaces, and will not be detected until people start to listen to the doctors.

Sounds easy, right? Wrong. After the end of that year, the plague is found, and everyone goes into high alert. ALL possible medical funding is given INSTANTLY to all the doctors. So if you haven't killed everyone in the allotted time, you will most likely be cured. Can you destroy the earth before they even realized what happened?

This is my first ever created scenario, so there will probably be quite a few bugs. I tried to squash as many as I can, but some may still come up. I made this all in one night in three hours.
