Description
The Champion is the largest class of ship assigned to planetary defence squadrons instead of battlefleets. Its versatile laser armamanets and relative ease of construction mean that it is simple to maintain and can engage most types of enemies successfully. In emergencies it can bolster the numbers of battlefleets, too.
