Terraformer by Dougal E Harrison

Description
Note: 19/01/16 - Amended rules. Rebalanced cards.

An original game by Dougal E Harrison (Jax Boom).

In Terraformer you are one of three alien races hell bent on colonising a planet. Before your colony can arrive you need to make the planet habitable for your species. Unfortunately, each race needs a very different atmosphere to survive. Your job as the commander of the terraforming advance party is to mine resources and build Terraformer plants. You must use strategy and cunning in a race against the other aliens who will stop at nothing to steal the planet for themselves.

Each Alien race needs to convert enough of the atmosphere to gain an unstoppable advantage over the others. The first race to reach 100% of their goal wins.

Is this game any fun?

YES! As you play the game you will use; fortune cards to steal equipment and boost your mining operations, disaster cards to lay traps in the mining decks that your friends need, alien artefacts which offer massive bonuses and help counteract attacks. It is awesome when you watch a friend turn over a card they desperately need and suddenly their whole world crumbles around them! This sort of thing happens a lot!

Gameplay example: It's your turn. You've already got 4 blue and 4 red resources. If you mine 3 yellow on this turn you'll have enough to build your first Terraformer. This will put you in the lead, you know it and they know it. You've only got one miner but you've been saving your cards; you've got a full hand. You roll the dice. 2 yellow! Instantly the other players lay traps on the yellow deck. You laugh and play 'Rich seam', that makes 4 yellow. You then equip x-ray specs, You ignore the top card. That means you only have to survive one trap and then the path is clear. You flip the card. Ah!, 'Seismic shuffle'. You roll the element die again! Phew, the colour stays yellow. You've lost one resource. That leaves three. It's still enough. You draw the next card. It's a fortune card. You're safe. You take one resource. You go to mine the next rock... suddenly another trap card is played. Damn, this could ruin it! Wait... what card did I just get? Sweet, it's the old hat card. You play it and everyone groans. You can now draw cards from the bottom of the deck for the rest of your turn! Done, well... almost. You've got too many cards. As you flip the Hex you casually drop trap cards on each deck, it don't bother you - your wearing x-ray specs like a boss. And lastly, you build a Terraformer. Game on.

3 players. Stratagy and screwing over your friends!

Hi there, looks really interesting but it appears that dropbox is missing 8 items? Think you can take a look at it as I really want to take it for game.

Tile collisions are dodgy in the latest version. They don't sit snug any more, seems like they're colliding a little further out than before.

Hi there, I just updated my mech models with better meshes and textures, you should grab them and update your mod!

@HalfDeadKiller Hey. Yeah I'm not sure. There should only be Black, grey. light grey and Lava hexes. I'm having issues because I retextured some of the hexes and they wont load for anyone but me. Sorry.

What is the grass hexagon for? I don't think I saw anything in the rules about it.

Shit... I just deleted your 2nd comment. Stupid phone. Sorry! The other thing I was going to say... If you're finding it hard to gain cards (it's a worry with the new rules) then I've been toying with the idea that cards and resources are tradable. Maybe you can buy cards... 3 red resources for a red card etc. Something like that. Anyway. Let me know what happened!

I just rebuilt the decks, maybe it was just a glitch. Also, I just amended the rules but haven't had a chance to test it yet. Let me know what you think. I hope you have fun!
