Description

This evening you are in charge of the return journey of a railtour between Edinburgh and Bury. Using preserved Class 40 '40145', you will be driving the leg between Carstairs and Carlisle.

Briefing

Starting at Carstairs, you are ready for immediate departure. You will then proceed to Abington where you have a booked wait to allow faster services to pass before making a further wait at Lockerbie. You will then proceed to Carlisle for a driver change.

Notes

This scenario is based on an actual railtour although the timings have been slightly modified to shortern the run from 120 minutes to around 85 minutes and the Mk1 liveries have been changed to limit requirements. As certain items of stock are either unavailable for the route or are incompatible with the workshop, stock has either been duplicated or services omitted.
