Location: Sakhalin Island
Playable Sides: Japan, Russia

Since the end of WW2 Japan have in several occasions raised reclamations about its rights on the Sakhalin Island and the Kurils.

Despite some late agreements some incidents have arose the heat in the area. A couple of Japanese fighters were shot down by Russians Migs by ‘error’ during a Russian air exercise in the Kuril Islands.

Russian insists the Japanese fighter were flying too close to their exercise exclusion zone, and more important they were over Russian air space. Japan don’t agree with this view and the incident is now in the UN Security Council.

Japan knows Russia will veto any resolution against its interest…Japanese Government with a broad public opinion support decides to press forward and break diplomatic relations with Russia.

Japan Self-Defense Forces are given new ROE against Russian forces, a non-declared state of war is in effect.

Amazing scenario!
however, the 21st FTS do not equip F-2As. They are equipped with F-2B, the two seat trainer variant of the F-2.

Excellent! Though russians have a lack of ground based radar and no dedicated AWAC. Maybe some neutral air contacts?

Amazing scenario. Played the Russian side and it was probably the most awesome experience I've ever had with the game. Very well made.

Changing an ASW Patrol Mission to Sea Control Mission did the trick for me.
