Also as a little bonus, here's a little thing I made to show you that picture of yours was actually a Kar98A. Also, if you take a good look at the photo of the Kar98k that's in the picture, you might notice that that's what this very item was based on, the WWII Kar98k. http://imgur.com/0A5yrec

But you haven't given any proof, give me a video of you, in a museum asking a verifiable source if the Kar98k was used during WWI and I'll believe you. Or really, just give me any source at all, since you still haven't, I'm fine with internet sources as long as they seem reliable enough. Also, you're on my turf, so I decide the rules. I go by the official names of weapons, not the names soldiers gave them. If I went by what soldier called weapons I should've called my MG-42 a "Spandau" and my M60 a "Pig", but I didn't, because I go by official names. We are talking about the official names of weapons, not what they were called by soldiers, so that's irrelevant to the discussion. The offical Kar98k, the one that I made here, didn't go into production until 1934. We are talking about two different rifles.

Museum (And I just said Verdun as a ref because of his Historical accuracy..) ^^" "The official designation was Kar98A, it was not a Kar98k" Is the government/Weapons manufacturer that do war ? No soldiers do the war ! If you don't know , alot of weapons were rename by soldiers in the war... But again even with proof you wouldn't believe me at all 'cause your oversized ego xD

"oh that's not a good source for info"
Well then, how about you stop telling me my legit sources are illegitimate and actually give some sources yourself? You literally only used Verdun (a videogame that doesn't even have the rifle you were talking about) as a source.
"It's a modification"
So it's not the actual rifle, it's a mod of another rifle. If I make a rifle look like another rifle, that doesn't make it that rifle.
"Soldiers already called it the Kar98k"
The official designation was Kar98A, it was not a Kar98k, no matter what the soldiers called it. The rifle that was officially designated Kar98k didn't come around until 1934. This rifle, the rifle on this page, the item I made, is a Kar98k which was originally first produced in 1934, not a modification on a Kar98A from WWI.

You have lost this argument, get out.

So pleaaase stop telling Internet is a safe source of information... It's not a fucking safe source of information ! Alot of peaple who are not sure of what they're Talking about

No stop right here xD I might not have point something. In WWI alot of modification were made on previous model. Like this one , it's a modified Kar98A in this time soldiers already called this a Kar98k k is for kurz = short, Maybe the ring is in the middle and all...But who care if it's a modification ? It's a prototype if you want ^^ And don't forget something the rifle was produced in 1935... But the first one was produced in 1914 ^^ as a prototype, And it was adopted by the Wermacht in 1935

kek, this picture is very unclear, so the bayonet lug might've just not shown up because of the poor quality. but what I can clearly see is the metal ring that's around the body of the gun. On the Kar98k this ring is placed very close to the end of the barrel, way closer than on this picture. This is not a Kar98k. On the Kar98A this ring is way closer to the middle of the weapon, similar to the one on this picture. maybe it's not a Kar98A, but it's definately not a Kar98k as those didn't exist yet. I'm sick of discussing this with you as even if I would literally go to a historian to ask and record his answer, you'd probably still tell me I'm wrong. The source I gave is directly from an expert in the field of german WWII weaponry, if you don't even believe that, there's no more hope for you.

The first one was made in 1914 ;) your source are not valide one xD see my picture ? watch carefully the rifle...... Do you see any under bayonet slot like your picture below ? Well no ...Again here's an example of your intelligence : you don't pay any attention to details !

The irony is strong with this one.

Oh just as on FYI, that picture you send? Yeah that's not a Kar98k. Look up a picture of the Kar98K, one of the Kar98A and then look at that picture you send and tell my which one looks more like that one.
