Description
Making a living off the "land". In space.

This mod adds a new faction, the Roiders, and their associated block set.

The Roiders are a peaceful community of miners who have set up shop on the asteroids of the Reassembly world. City buildings stand alongside industrial installations all working towards making their owners' fortune.

Much like the Farmers, the Roiders prefer to keep to themselves and have several unarmed civilian ships which populate their space. That's not to say they can't put up a fight, though, as they have some powerful mining equipment, and don't much care for health and safety laws during times of war.

IMPORTANT INFO:

These guys have been done for quite a while now (last edit was nearly a month ago), but some game issues prevented me releasing them earlier. Those issues still exist - specifically some of the resource generation based on plant seed logic that I wanted to use doesn't work with a command module, and the asteroid factory bases don't understand how to use their factories.
I hope these problems will be fixed sometime, and if you would rather not play without the ability to make factories, they make good NPCs until a fix comes along.

END IMPORTANT INFO

- 36 new modules, not including size variations.
- 24 faction ships and 24 stations to populate the world, including 10 city and 10 industrial asteroid buildings.
- Basic building blocks come in three flavours; compartment hull, intended for ships, which is light and stores some resources but offers poor protection, plascrete, intended for structures, which is dense and more durable, and super tough, super heavy rocks for building your own asteroid bases.
- Additional building blocks include thin struts and tough armour plating, able to take more of a battering than the compartment hull. Use the plating alongside the shield modules to protect your ship.
- Terran-level shields which should be used alongside armour plates to maximise effectiveness.
- No ship-bound factories! The foreman's office allows other ships to drop their resources at you, and to choose whether you give yours away, but it is unable to produce any ships (will always say no room!).
- Factories must be spawned by deploying an asteroid facory base with the appropiate deployment bay module.
- Deployable mining bases generate resources (the starter ship has a deployment bay for these!)
- Fairly strong drones which come in two varieties - swarming laser drones and long lasting cannon shuttles.
- Deployable turrets to hold areas.
- Powerful fixed laser drills, including the massively powerful fusion drill, weighing in at 4550P. I once accidentally destroyed an asteroid by clicking the wrong button with it mounted.
- Medium-long range guns with the slow but powerful plasma cannon, and tiny point defence autogun.

only question I have is how do I tap into the deployable mining bases resorce pool

Hey, I really love all your mods, and they are pretty much my favorite factions! I'm getting into modding myself, and I was wondering if it would be okay with you to make and then publish some small expansions for your modded factions in the vein of Expanded Armory. The roiders especially have a somewhat limited arsenal, so I wanted to cook up some new toys for them.

Really cool mod, good blocks, great ships and buildings... It's a shame the factories don't work.

Anyone know how to get around that? Like, maybe they could make stuff if the player bought them in Command mode? You can't buy them since they're stations, but perhaps if you stuck a thruster on there so it's technically a ship (despite being stuck to an asteroid)?

The Factory Don't work v.v ((Wish I Knew That Before Starting....))

The mining station things produce nothing for me to collect.

I dono whats missing... O a way to make money other then blasting through everything.

Why have a mining freight that can't collect from the mines you placed?
