Berlin-class Support Frigate (Small grid)

The Berlin-class support frigate is a support classification in the UNSC Navy. It is best suited to supply transport and ground support. In these roles, it is being replaced by the Charon-class light frigate (shown above for comparison).

History
The Berlin-class was originally designed to aid in the siege and invasion of planets, but when the Covenant began sweeping across the galaxy, the UNSC rarely got a chance to take new ground. The Berlin has largely been replaced by the Charon since the latter is more combat effective and can generally perform the same duties. However, the Berlin can hold more supplies, has onboard production, and can more effectively ferry supplies between ships, functioning like a barge.

Tactics
The Berlin is not a very combat effective ship, but is cheaper than a Charon and, unlike its successor, has assemblers and a refinery. While not armed with a MAC, the Berlin can fire missiles to support friendlies on the ground, as well as airdrop supplies from ejectors. This makes it very useful to ground forces. Otherwise, keep it away from the frontlines.

To use this ship: Access via antenna or control panel on the "bridge", and remote control.
