Less Gravely Wounded

Description
Reduces the frequency and severity of wounded and gravely wounded soldiers.

No longer will your brave supersoldiers be waylaid for a month from a small graze - now they're brave until the bitter end of their ability to stand!

Warning: Does not fix death, dying, doom, completion of the Avatar project, ADVENT raids, being a chryssalid or having lost the game.

grave wounds should be common under 30% and rare below 60% and impossible above 60%.

wounds should sometimes happen under 30%, usually happen between 30% and 60% and sometimes happen above 60%.

Anything above 60% hp *should* be a light wound and rarely a wound.

As a side effect, wound times have been slightly normalized to be less swingy, and wounds now have their own distinct heal point values. The average soldier heal time was not changed, and should not affect difficulty!

UPDATE v1.111: Either the way it was randomizing the wound points was incorrect, or the way it was checking wound points to get the actual wound status was incorrect, and it should be fixed with actual script edits now.

Update v1.1111: undid update v1.111 because I'm ♥♥♥♥ing ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and caused crashes

Update v1.11111: Flipped the wound severity table. Now, light wounds should happen on LOW hp loss, and grave wounds should happen on HEAVY hp loss, completely opposite to how Firaxis programmed it. Further updates from here should be tuning.

Update v2: Fixed an error causing the file to not properly overwrite previous wound values.

Update v2.2: More Gravely Wounded.

I don't know how to mod, so probably not :<

But this was to fix a bug in the way original original game, so it's probably fine if you don't use it.

Will this be updated for WotC?

part 2
If you think you are capable of not messing up your settings you can adjust the range if you search for "WoundSeverities" and change the min/max points of the specified health percentage range example:
WoundSeverities=(MinHealthPercent=21, MaxHealthPercent=50, MinPointsToHeal=6000, MaxPointsToHeal=32000, Difficulty=1)

This line goes for soldiers have left 21%-50% hp and it chooses a random number between at least 6000 points to heal and max 32000 points to heal if you dont want such a big range adjust the number to your liking and of course make sure you change it for the right difficulty.
The vanilla numbers may be diffrent, but the principle should be clear I hope

If you are willing you can do it yourself just open the xcomgamedata.ini.
If you use long war 2 you may have to change the xcomgamedata.ini of it I dont know how the game sets its prioritys

Allways backup your stuff and make sure you dont write weird numbers in... should be obvious...

within the file search for "HealSoldierProject" this is what you should see
HealSoldierProject_TimeScalar[0]=1.5 ;Easy
HealSoldierProject_TimeScalar[1]=1.5 ;Normal
HealSoldierProject_TimeScalar[2]=1.5 ;Classic
HealSoldierProject_TimeScalar[3]=2.5 ;Impossible

These values get multiplied with the values for the wounded times I wont go into them as this should be easier for people even with zero understanding of it.
So if you change the multiplier from 2 to 1 it will obviously half the potential wounded time.

Can't really tell if it works for LW2 or not, I'm thinking it's not.

Sorry guys, haven't looked at this in forever

Or XCOM modding in general D:

If this needs fixing, what do I need to do to fix it? Or for LW2 compatibility?

I'm willing to just hand this off to someone who wants to fix it, go ahead and add me/PM me
