Description
Cim State Prison by Populous

Built in 1939, this classic brick prison was designed to hold such notorious criminals as the infamous Genmviner, AKA “Cody kid”. In fact the prison was named Genmviner prison in 1939 and was later changed to Cim State Prison in 2005 with the passing of the great Mayor Gimbly.

Features:
- Looks great in game and almost eerie at night
- The look of an old Brick Prison will clearly add to the look of a city over the cement prison
- All Cim markers are set
- The prisoners will enter and exit doors and hang out at the benches
- Works without After Dark DLC (Thank you ilion7 for all the testing)

Stock settings except we run a tight prison and prisoners will remain quieter than allowed in other prisons and we will hunt them down to the ends of the earth if they escape.

Thank you my friend, I appreciate the information, feedback and the kind words.

@Populous I also do not have the after dark expansion. I am using District Service Limit 3.0 mod. I created a district for the prison only and assigned fire and trash collection to the prison district. The prison works perfectly sending the units to police stations in all other districts and collects convicts to transport to the prison. Very nice looking asset as well. Thank You.

Works great without AD! Watch not to place it inside a district though. It picks up from police and releases after time served. Nice looking asset, not too many MB, and functional. Thanks for the asset!

However we know for sure it works without the districts mod....

I meant to add that I didn't try to figure out whether that change in behavior had anything to do with the districts themselves or with the "Districts" mod.

The district I had plopped the prison into had a police station ... but there were only 2 prisoners in its jail. If the prison sends a pick-up van *only* if it can get a full load (i.e. 3 prisoners), then it would have waited for a third prisoner to be jailed.

Added this to the Features :)

Fantastic and thank you for letting me know how this worked out!

Thanks; it does work. Here's what what my experimenting showed --

When I first placed it (just to observe how it works), nothing happened; it neither sent out vans nor received deliveries from police stations.

While composing the previous note, the I had idea that districts may have some affect. So, I erased the district over (just) the prison, and it *immediately* began sending out vans (*) to pick up prisoners -- both from police stations that were in no district and those that were.

(*) it sent out all 5 simultaneously --- if only the other service buildings would be so active!

After Dark is what actually makes this game worth playing so strongly advise it.... not so much the rest of the DLC's by comparison.

That said, the building came with AD, but the code supporting it came through updates... so I am told... and hence aslo told the building works without AD... if not, please let me know.

You absolutely want to place this outside and away from residential, office and commercial aras, but can be within Industrial or farming areas and will cross districts to within the best the SC code will allow.
