USS Buford and Houston Refits

Based on the Houston and Buford ships by busboy999

Both ships have been extensively refitted with mod parts

Houston:

The Houston has a substantial shield capacity of over 1.5 million shield capacity. It has a forward acceleration of aproximately .75g, with a deceleration of .1g. It's vertical thrusters are capable of keeping it well enough on vector, and of maintaining altitude in a gravity well so long as the gravity is kept below 0.6g.

Primary Armament is 12 pulse phaser banks. Secondary armament includes 2 forward torpedo launchers, and 1 aft. Shield array is primarily located in the Nacelles, with a secondary array behind the comms dish.

Power is provided by 3 tier 2 Large Thorium reactors, supplimented by batteries, for ~2.5 gigawatts of power. It may perform maneuvers and maintain shields easily. Power may become limited if jump drive is charging and shields are online at the same time.

Programing comes in the form of 2 computer rooms on deck C, with a total of 8 programable blocks and 8 timer blocks. An additional programable block is in the secondary hull in the old main computer room room. Bridge has 5 LCDs and a Holographic Radar table.

Buford:

I forget some of what I was doing to this one. I kinda abandoned it when the Houston was published.


Neither ship relies on Hydrogen anymore.
