BS16 License Plate Creator

This tool will allow you to create user-defined license plates for Bus Simulator 16. You can choose between five country variants: Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, and the United Kingdom (Northern Ireland/Great Britain).

Important Information:

1. The generated textures can only be used for private purposes. 2. The application is not signed. As a result, you may receive a dialog box warning you about the potential dangers of using unsigned software. You can simply ignore this warning in this case. Simply click on “run anyway.”

All you have to do is:
1. Start the tool from the workshop folder After you have downloaded the License Plate Generator from the Steam Workshop, you will find it in the workshop directory in the game (Steam\SteamApps\workshop\content\324310). Right click on Bus Simulator 16 in Steam, choose “properties,” switch to the tab “local files,” and click on “search local files…” Now the installation directory for Bus Simulator will open; this is the directory from which the superordinate folder “Steam\SteamApps” can be accessed. In the workshop directory, you will find the folder “626411639,” which contains the file “LicensePlateCreator.exe.” Double click on the file “LicensePlateCreator.exe” to start the application.

2. Choosing a template Choose one of the five templates and click on the button “create license plate.”

3. Enter data Now you can use the editor to change various properties of the specific template. Unlawful combinations violate the license agreement and will automatically be prevented.

4. Export The “export” button in the lower right area will take you to the export screen. There you can set the export directory where the three generated textures will be saved. By default, this should be set to the modding directory, so no manual adjustments should be needed. Choosing the option “create modification” will apply the structure for a modification in the export directory. If you maintain the standard options, then the modification for your license plate will automatically be applied so that the modification will become available in Bus Simulator 16 after you click the “export” button.


Tips:

If several license plate modifications are installed and activated in the game, then the modification with the folder name that is last in descending alphabetical order will be active. Keep in mind that only one license plate modification will active at one time. You can find a list of modifications under “modding” in the menu right after you start Bus Simulator 16. There you can activate and deactivate modifications by ticking boxes.

Because this tool is a Windows application, you will have to use it in a virtual Windows environment if you want to use it with Mac OS. You do not need to install Bus Simulator 16 in order to run the tool. Simply copy the folder “626411639” in the workshop directory and paste it into the directory of your choice in the Windows environment, and then run the tool as usual. When exporting the textures, pay attention to the location of the output directory. When you create a modification in Windows, you should then copy the modification file and paste it in the modding directory in the Mac OS environment.
