HPWA - The Hexapedal Walking Artillery

I present to you, HPWA. A multifunctional hexapedal walker armed with 2 missiles, 2 steamlaunched bombs and 2 aimable cannons.

HPWA has for long been a work in progress, but since v0.25 I have been able to make the changes nessecary to finish the machine.

The low friction feet is great for high-speed skating when combined with the steam boosters. Hillclimbing is possible but may be risky if you're using the low friction feet. Therefore the feet can be dropped to get closer to the ground for more stability, but also more to get more grip from the grip pads.

The rear bombs is not to be used without combining with the steam boost. Turn on the steamboost before releasing a devastating long-range bomb backwards. Don't worry if you miss, you still have another bomb left!

HPWA is also equipped with a pair of missiles that are tilted slightly upwards to be able to reach a wider range of targets. If you want to launch them a short distance then tap the corresponding key lightly. If you want longer range, then just hold the key.

Controls:
  • Walk with ▲ & ▼
  • Steer with ◄ & ►
  • Steam boost with Right Ctrl

  • Rear bombs with Right Shift
  • Launch missiles with F & G
  • Aim cannons with R & T
  • Fire cannons with Y
  • Re-ignite steamcannons with H

  • Drop low friction feet with B

I think Mythbusters did an episode about that.

Hwacha is a Korean rocket system used when gunpowder was invented. Apparently it was an ancient, but highly modern and effective weapon.
