EDIT:
It does come with your skin. Why would you remove it ? :P
But still, the unsuppressed sound from this mod definitely has way more of that fading and/or it's louder, which made it sound weird for me.
I mean, I suppose that "echo" or whatever it is (I don't really know about specifics of sounds) is ok, works well on open environments but it's a bit weird to hear on closed ones, and also doesn't really match the rest of Insurgency's weapon sounds, which don't have that fading.
This is just personal opinion though, I'm not telling you to change it if you don't want to, especially since I'm sure other people actually enjoy this sound with it rather than without.
You mean the ticky, gas'y noise you hear after the discharge ? A lot of actual fire arms omit this noise when when fired silently. It's not reverb/echo. I know Insurgency doesn't simulate it.
How would echo not fit, though ? Insurgency has echo on silenced fire sounds. I actually edited most of it out for my sounds, though. :P
Oh and by the way, fix the description on: "which replaces the in-game AC-556"
Actually replaces the M14 EBR.
