This is the SFM version of my TF2 workshop submission: The "Lancer"


A compact crossbow/dart rifle made out of a dark oak wood, with various pieces of metal and medical equipment bolted/screwed/banded onto it. The Lancer operates using a large spring inside the frame. While original weapon was a crossbow, the various crossbow bits were pulled off, and new components were attached. The canister on the bottom holds a healing liquid, similar to the Medic's backpack. This fluid is routed up into the interworkings of the gun via a pipe attachment. The canister held in place by a metal brace canopy and several rubber strips that run the length of the front of the gun. Lacking a good place to affix the rubber strips to the wood, a jury-rigged set of guide rails have been bolted onto both sides instead. Near the front of the barrel is a homemade brace, which functions as both a securing piece and a makeshift sight. At the back of the barrel is a plastic outlet where new darts can be loaded, similar to the other Medic primary weapons.

-Unlike the TF2 submission, this version supports an extra bone for the pullbar, which is used to recock the weapon. This uses bone vm_weapon_bone_2, which happens to be the same bone that spins the Syringe gun's barrel. If the pullbar starts spinning, you've likely bound it to the wrong animation.
