This, my friends, is the greatest deep-water harbor IN THE WORLD. I may not be all that educated about shipping, but I know in my heart that it's the greatest IN THE WORLD. I mean, even if it isn't, isn't it a beautiful, imposing double-headed peninsula that you just want to move to, for the million-dollar views? As mayor, you can place a castle on the southern peninsular hilltop and, say, a pagoda on the northern one! Seriously... look at all this water, for commerce and quality of life! And yes, the shipping lanes do fit through the little channel between the peninsula and the mainland. And get this: the harbor is one big river estuary (with a water source to the east), so the water all goes out the little channel, not in - so you can place your sewage outlets in the open ocean, and it won't contaminate the water in the harbor. What else does it have? A mountain stream you can dam, or not dam. Little lakes with outflow creeks! Lots of ore, some fertile land, and a bit of oil. A full complement of freeways and trains, although some you can't connect until you buy its (non-central) tile. Airplane "lanes". A big waterway to the west that you can build a big bridge across, once you can access and afford it. It's a for-real place, based on a heightmap taken just north of Vancouver Island. Yes, it's challenging; a lot of non-flat space, more water than land. But it's such a tourist-brochure lovely site for a little subarctic fishing village, or a big icy metropolis! I'm going for the metropolis, starting as soon as I post this on Steam!
