Militant

Description
Mod now updated to be compliant for expansion Wake of the Heralds.

A mod for all you turtling fortifiers out there. The Militant Lifestyle is all about holding on to what you have through your tenacious population and defense generation, making you a tough nut to crack when sufficiently dug in.

New planetary buildings will help you in defending your systems, as well as new orbitals that you can build alongside your outposts that will further improve your defense generation and doubly protect your planets from invasion, prolonging assaults.

Beware though - your rampant overspending on defensive infrastructure and training for your population cause each planet to spike in initial cost by a large margin, making your expansion and growth very methodical. You'll also struggle in the world of politics, cutting your influence generation in half.

First and foremost you'll deal in diplomacy with the barrel of a gun sticking out of a massive bunker, and through the extra loyalty your planets have, it wont be quite so easy to force them to change sides.

You'll likely field fewer and smaller fleets than your opponents, so look to your orbitals and the new defensive buildings, because it grants a small amount of loyalty to the planet it's built on and a tiny bit to the rest of the planets in a system. At least your neighbors wont feel quite as threatened with you bumping up next to them. Probably.

Are you doing your part?! Join up and be Militant!

Would you like to know more? [YES]

* New Orbitals: Militant Starbase, Propaganda Station
* New Buildings: Militant Planetary Fortress, Militant Garrison Bunker, Militant High Command

Is this mod balanced? WHO KNOWS!! Haven't tested it much yet, so use it at your own peril, I guess. Preliminary tests against the AI are promising in the sense that they handle the increased defenses of a Militant player like water on a cliffside. It's not like they were terribly difficult to begin with, but players can probably tackle the defenses a lot better than the AI.

I know that the High Command just uses an upscaled defense grid. I'll get around to it sometime.

Now also includes a Stratocracy government type with a small early defense generation boost and proper influence cards.

*** Thanks to MysticVoid7x9 for spotting the issue with Planetary Fortresses!~

@RichyRichDog I reuploaded the mod to the workshop. If that doesn't help, I'm not sure what else can be done. You might try verifying your local files for Star Ruler 2, since the majority of the models and textures this mod uses is from the game itself.

@RichyRichDog It appears to be fine. Are you missing something in particular?

By the way I seem to have noticed a bug where if I pick the mechaoid lifestyle I still seem to be able to build the Militant Planetary Fortress.
