Shield Spell FX

Description
There are unused visual effects in the Skyrim game data for the shield spells (Oakflesh, Stoneflesh, Ironflesh, Ebonyflesh and Dragonhide). They all look different, and match the names of the spells much better than the generic greenish glow effect which wound up being used instead for all of those spells.

This mod restores the unused effects to the spells.

The mod also does the following:
* Fixes the Scroll of Dragonhide and adds it into levelled loot (it was previously inaccessible without using the console)
* Adds the 4 Thrall spell scrolls (which were also previously inaccessible) into levelled loot

No DLC required.

Use this mod however you wish.

cool visual mod, I was disapointed when I got Dragonhide and it didn't at least look cool, like a unleveled version of dragonhide, considering how OP it is for a pure spellcaster (80% physical damage negated)

a bit of a heads up. for anyone who cares about balancing this sorta thing.

SPOILERS

most of these spell tomes you added ARE in fact leveled loot. The flame thrall spell is a available when you reach maximum conjuration as part of a quest from respective winterhold trainer, same for dragon hide. Thrall isn't hard to finish but the dragon hide quest is a bit of time investment, just thought to mention it.

Why wouldn't Bethesda use these if they were already in the assets? What the hell Bethesda?

It could be. Have you tried putting this mod at the bottom of your load order? You should also try using LOOT.

Ok, I have the mod that changes the mage armor to a toggle instead of a timer, could that be the problem?

You shouldn't need to start a new game, but you might need to put this mod at the bottom of your load order - if you have any other mods running which change the shield spells, they will conflict with this one.

You could also try LOOT ( https://loot.github.io/ ), which is supposed to be good for sorting this kind of thing out! I use it, but I don't really know how it works or how effective it really is.

Do I need to start a new game?

Doesnt seem to work for me.
