Custom Terrain: Devils Tower

Devils Tower is a stunning rock formation in northeast Wyoming, possibly formed from the solidified center of a volcano that has since eroded away. This structrure stands high above the surounding terrain which has a mix of old red sandstone and younger white gypsum rock.

To make this map I used real GIS data but unfortunatly I could only find data with a resolution of 30m so I had to do some manipulating to get some of the features of the terrain.

The horizontal scale for this map is 1:2 while the verical scale is 1:1
