A few questions and suggestions-
- I was unable to upgrade the Wizard's Guild past level 2. Is this to prevent Lightning Storm spam?
- There's no real way to tell how far along you are towards winning- eventually you just get a "You are victorious!" message. It would be cool to get occasional announcements as to how far along in the onslaught you are.
- The waves are all hodgepodges of powerful creatures. This makes the level very challenging, but I think it would be cool if the waves were themed. Wilderness, undead, ratman, goblin, etc.
Choose a spot, build some inns in a circle at that spot to prevent sewer entrances from appearing there, then build your settlement around that area, and surround the whole thing with ballista towers (at least 2 or 3 layers). When you're ready to start, you can demolish those inns and have a nice, comfortable spot in the center of your base to build your outpost.
If you're not using Agrela/Dauros, build a couple of mausoleums also. Sometimes it's better to let your heroes go to the mausoleum, rather than spend a ton of gold trying to protect 1 or 2 heroes surrounded by large monsters.
Another trick that is applicable to any quest: you can put lots of reward flags near your heroes to give them free gold, so they can purchase some good equipment.
