Realistic AI Detection (better sneaking)

Description
Note: there is an easier "Lite" version also available.

This is a total recalibration of Skyrim's detection formula, providing much more realistic and challenging sneaking. Enemies will have enhanced sight and hearing abilities, and will search longer when alerted. This mod represents over 300 hours of meticulous research and testing work.

Note: this is the v2.0 "Medium Interior, Medium Exterior" version as hosted on the Skyrim nexus website. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/74355/?

---------- FEATURES: ----------
No scripts. No performance impact. 100% reliable.
AI view cone reduced to 160deg (from 190deg in vanilla).
Ambient light, equipment weight, and line-of-sight are now more important than your sneak skill level. Enemies won't become deaf and blind as you increase your sneak level and perks.
AI can see further and are much more sensitive to light. They can now see better in the dark.
A higher attenuation factor in the detection formula enables AI to see you realistically in very low light levels when very near, without making detection over-powered at further distances.
AI hearing is now the same inside and outside (in vanilla, enemies could hear 2x further outside than inside).
Enemies will search about 2x longer, and will cover a slightly larger area.
The huge difference between standing and sneaking has been reduced to a realistic amount.
AI wall-hacking has been reduced in various scenarios. Example: In vanilla, if you broke line-of-sight in combat, AI could wall-hack you for up to 10 seconds - this has now been reduced to 5 seconds.
"Invisibility" and "Muffle" effects actually work now. In vanilla, enemies could often still see or hear you when using these effects. Not any more.
When an enemy becomes alert and starts to search for you, they get a small boost to their detection ability (to simulate concentration).
If an enemy has not detected you yet and is in combat with someone else, it is now easier to sneak past or backstab them (since all their attention is focused on combat). This effect is stronger in dark environments.
AI reaction time is slightly increased in some situations.
Sleeping enemies have slightly reduced hearing abilities (in vanilla their hearing was the same as when awake).
Enemies will notice dead bodies 10m away and start a search (was 5m in vanilla).
When someone sees you commit a crime, the distance guards come running has been reduced moderately.

Compatible with nearly all mods, but may become unbalanced when used with some dark lighting/weather mods. Uninstalling this mod is 100% safe and automatically restores Skyrim's original vanilla settings.

hi, if you want to tweak it, first download the "GMST Datasheet" on the nexus mods page for this mod - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/74355/? - It explains what each setting for the mod does. Second, don't use Creation Kit (its a pain to use), use the Tes5Edit program which is much faster, easier, and safer to use. Look under the "game settings" sub menu.

Where in the Skyrim Creation Kit can I tweak these settings? I love this mod but would like to play around with the settings for myself just to see what it's like

YES! THANK YOU FOR THIS MOD! GOD DAMN!
I always found it irritating how I can just leave an area and nobody would be able to find me, and how enemies will literally stare at you before walking away. In all seriousness, thanks again.

RAID 2.0 released! (this file has been updated) It has further improved detection mechanics.

@Juice, it is possible.
I designed this mod to scale well to different skill and gear. So, I think it will stop things from getting too easy despite all that high end sneak gear. Try it.
Should you still find this mod too easy, there is a more hardcore version I put on nexusmods:

To be honest it isnt possible to make stealth difficult no matter what. High enchanting combined with jewlry mods that add left hand rings or allow hoods and circlets to be donned simultaniously make sneaking trivial once again.

I love this mod, I used to leave my sneak unperked for some added realism (i dont heavily mod). after subscribing to this mod, I was in blackreach, I was sneaking around some will o wisps and the wisp mother... i was surprised how far they actualy came out to search for me. they dont "give up" after walking half way to where the arrow was launched from. Needless to say they found me even in the darkest parts of the area I was in.... but again no perks... and the damn blades boots lol (heavy armor to also add realism for noisy metal armor.)

Outside is also a big improvement, Basically if I can see a npc in the distance it can easily find me if I alert it. One thing though, and I am only ASSUMING that it is this mod, but Lydia will keep running away from me when in skyrim... my guess is she keeps looking for enemies.. like slaughterfish and mudcrabs. I'll just go solo.

THANK YOU for doing this
