Description
First off, I'd like to thank you for clicking on this upload. More importantly however, I would like to tell you more about it!

This mod was never intended to be uploaded onto the Workshop. I simply was bored one day and thought I would put my skills to the test, and it became a pet project, a mere hobby... And then it became more enjoyable to work on than to play the game...

Prior to the creation of this mod, I only knew incredibly basic commands in C#. So essentially, this mod was created by reverse engineering the code already in the game, therefore, much of the code is simply an altered version of the weapons and actors you already know and love.

Thus far, I have gained much more knowledge over whatever code Cortex Command uses (not lua) and can do much more as a result. This mod is entirely unfinished, and as I'm sure you are aware, is unnamed.

I will be working on this until it is done. Currently, the little content there even is is incredibly unbalanced (I actually want this to be a balanced race), and probably could use some polishing. This is actually one of the reasons I'm even uploading this. I would very much enjoy feedback from some more experienced modders or even from just any casual Cortex Command player!

I have a personal "TO DO.txt" file with all the rest of the stuff I plan on adding to this mod. Currently, there is 1 actor, 1 dropship (that took forever to make), and 6 weapons, as unique as I could make 'em.
So, here it is:

(These are the vertebra of the mod, and without them, my mod would not be complete)

Finish other weapons (make sure at least one sidearm and multiple light/medium weapons)
Fix "Shredder's" smoke trail (change to some sort of red MOSParticle or remove entirely(not sure how to solve this problem as I can't work with lua))
Create explosives (at least 1 so they stop spawning with blue bombs)
Create loadouts (for better AI spawning)
Create "Brain"
Gib editing (ugh)
Balance, nerf, discount/markup, and weigh everything (I don't expect this to be fun, but is rather important)

(Don't get me wrong, I still really want these to be implemented, but some are a bit far fetched and I won't be as upset if they don't make it into the final cut)

Create "Centaur" (humanoid/crabbot hybrid)
Create a heavy unit (potentially "Centaur")
Create drop rocket OR make drop pod
Create at least one drone
Create at least one tool (probably digger, but a "Reinforcer" ("Nanolyzer" that replaces stuff with steel versus grey mush) would be quite entertaining)
Create custom sounds
Create "The Unnamed's Homeworld" scene
Create "Brain Bot", "Brain Crab", and/or "Brain Hover-Drone"
Create Bunker Modules (If I REALLY want to)
Redo backstory and weapon descriptions
Add better pictures

So, those are my plans. Hopefully I can manage to accomplish everything. Any sort of advice would be very much appreciated. Enjoy!






UPDATE LOG:

3/23/2016 - Mod published, including 1 actor, 1 dropship, 6 weapons, and a lot more work to come.

3/24/2016 - RedGlow.bmp error fixed. Images of mod incoming...

3/26/2016 - Images finally here!

9/7/2016 - After the long delay, a digger has been added, weapons have been rebalanced (not final), and a few weapons such as the "Hellfire Cannon" and "Shredder" have been removed until I can find a way to change them enough to not just be better versions of the original weapon.

10/30/2016 - More rebalancing, "Hellfire Cannon" and "Shredder" re added (but still broken (fairness wise)). Antimatter lobber explodes in red (FINALLY) and has gone through some serious balancing (still not final). The Disassembler has been improved and the effect colors have been fixed. The splinter gun has had a total code remake and the reload is much more interesting than a clip falling out of the bottom.

11/3/2016 - Many thanks to RandomCoderZ for a new and improved dropship flame. More reworkings to the dropship are on my list.

Thank you so much for the advice! This kind of feedback was the main reason I uploaded to the workshop, and I have been wanting to make a data realms forum account forever, and I think you have just persuaded me. Thanks again! hopefully, I will see you on the forums as well.
