Description
UPDATE: Integrated Communications Events were changed and are now customizable through the XComDarkEvents.ini . Two new variables were added - ClassicMode and ThatsJustBullshit, both set to false by default. ClassicMode defines which units will receive Squadsight, false means only Officers will get it, true means all ADVENT units will. ThatsJustBullshit prevents any units from receiving Squadsight. Enable it if you hate this event but it already occurred during your campaign.
P.S. I briefly tested it and it appears to work, but don't hesitate to contact me if you encounter any problems.
P.S.S. I've also included the French and Spanish translations made by @Papas con mojo and @FrUnit7 in the mod. Really appreciate your work, guys. All the credits for those go to you.

This mod adds 6 additional Dark Events to the game.

I personally am a big fan of the very concept of Dark Events, and there really wasn't enough of them for me. So - more incoming! You can also customize the mod by editing the ini file, which you can find here: %STEAM_FOLDER%/steamapps/workshop/content/268500/652169373/Config/XComDarkEvents.ini . Feel free to turn on or off events that you like or dislike. By default all of them are on.

I tried to make them tweak your game experience in more subtle ways, just like the original Dark Events do. They also shouldn't be too imbalanced, I played a campaign with them on ironman legend for few months and didn't have too much trouble.

NOTE: Unfortunately, you'll need to start a new game in order for this mod to take effect.
This mod doesn't override any classes and should be compatible with any other mod (unless they override something important :) ).

List of the Dark Events:

Advanced Firewall. Hackers suffer +20 penalty to their tech score, and all other operatives - +3.

Integrated Communications. All ADVENT soldiers receive a Squadsight perk. Sometimes though, they'd still prefer to get closer to increase their aim roll. Be advised: there is also a permanent version of this event.

Sabotage Protocol: Scanning times for Avenger are slowed down by 50%.

Security Exploit: Slows down current research by 30%.

Arms Enhancements: ADVENT troopers will receive random advanced weapon upgrades on the tactical field. The list consists of: scope, laser sight, hair trigger, expanded magazine and auto-loader. There is no stock or repeater, that would be too cruel. They also don't drop it after their death.

Some players might like some, but not all, of the events. Adding mod config menu support to the mod would allow players to choose which events suit their needs. Also in the case of some kind of bug only the one event can be disabled.

@Krats, sure thing! Go to %STEAM_FOLDER%/steamapps/workshop/content/268500/652169373/Config/XComDarkEvents.ini and change the variable ThatsJustBullshit to True . This will not take the Dark Event off your active dark events list, but it will negate its effects: namely, no enemy units will receive the Squadsight ability.

Sorry for off-topic question, a bit desparate.

I made the mistake of using perma-dark event option and now I have "lost" on every mission and the game has become a chore to play. I have "between-the-eyes" and 1shot them... they just increase turn times and lag my game. Can I remove them perma event somehow?

Some of these have been added in WotC in one form or another. I'd still like to see the others make a return for a future update.

Accented characters seems to have been lost in both translations files uploaded. They were all replaced by a question mark symbol (?). Probable encoding issue somewhere.
