Report a translation problem
When it comes to the games themselves in Source, .BSP files don't give half a shit about anything except the .BSP version themselves. That's why things like SFM maps and L4D2 and such can't be loaded in GMod, as they use a newer version. Other than that, a map from 2004 would work the same way today.
It's like my friend pointed out to me the other day; add-ons and game modes come and go, but maps are forever.
Why would you not be able to?
