Description
Removes the original Tier 3 Power Armor Torsos and Legs for those that really don't prefer the look. Left the arms because sometimes they look cool with other armors (but you can remove in the ini if you wish). Requires another mod that gives you visual options such as my Progressive Armor Mod, an "unlock all armor" mod, or the Anarchy Children's DLC for those tiers.

*****************************************************
DO NOT USE THIS MOD FOR THE FIRST TIME IF YOU HAVE THE TIER 3 ARMORS EQUIPPED ON YOUR SOLDIERS (unequip, then load this mod).
*****************************************************

Failure to do so may leave you with a floating head. If that happens, you can edit the XComContent.ini in this mods folder and comment the lines that you need restored, enter game and switch the torsos, and then come out and uncomment the lines.

This is a simple ini edit subtraction. If you need to restore some of the visual styles you can simply comment out the line in the ini. The file is located roundabout here C:\SteamLibrary\SteamApps\workshop\content\268500\654088217\Config\XComContent.ini

Recommended for use with my Progressive Armor Options mods https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=630067484

Synergizes well with Anarchy Children's DLC (and my Progressive Armor Less Anarchy Mod https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=648789483)

@The Pm: Could you do another one of these for tier 2?

Thank you very much, good sir.

Whateveryourpathistogetto\Documents\my games\XCOM2\XComGame\Config\XComGameData.ini has a line that says VeteranSoldierRank=3. Chang it to VeteranSoldierRank=0.

@The PM, thanks for responding. I'm just finding it silly so many of the simple cosmetic options such as the Viking hair, earrings, tattoos, and etc., are unlocked at SGT. and above...I'd like this unlocked at Squaddie WITHOUT having to install a mod...I know this is a simple .ini change so where to go? ;o) Thanks!

What exactly are you trying to achieve?
Ser Lancelot 2 Apr, 2016 @ 7:09am
Which .ini file does one go to edit and "open up" the tiers? I mean, I realized it's just as easy as this but I cannot seem to find the correct .ini and/or edit the correct lines? LMK, thanks!

This will remove the original tier 3 torsos and legs (you can edit the ini to also remove the arms). You do not need my other mod as long as you have some sort of mod that gives you other tier3 armors. If the flame printed torso is the anarchy DLC armor, you would want to either edit the DLCs content.ini to remove it or download my Less Anarchy mod and comment out the lines in that ini that pertain to the armors you do not like.

You said that it is an extension, but can I still use this mod as a standalone to only remove T3 armor variants?
I would love to use this to remove the flame-printed torso. it looks extremely stupid imo.

Sorry, no. I guess in hindsight I could have named this differently. This is an extension of my original mods that removes the warden, wraith, and WAR default looks. My "less anarchy" mod deals mainly with the dlc, and there is some mixing and matching arms and what not but maybe not to the extent you like. You can check it out, or there is another mod on the workshop that does a little more of what you're asking that you might like. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=651406954

Is the DC's cut the "GO TO" for "all" customization options? i.e., being able to choose normal legs/arms even with the Anarchy's Children torsos, and vice versa? If so, then, yep, this is.

LMK, thanks!
