Conquest

Description
First rule of war - there are no rules of war... and don't talk about fight club.

This modification allows independent rulers to wage wars on neighbouring states and sovereigns. All territory conquered during the campaign will be added to one's territories after. This mod won’t try and put vast restrictions on your ability to engage in these type of wars. The mod is meant to allow roleplay, not realism or balanced gaming. You will be able, if successful in your wars, to acquire big swaths of land - however, the new defensive alliance mechanic and the religious/cultural unrest that will follow is naturally still present.

So if you want to play like a great conqueror, to rival Alexander: this is the mod for you!
Just listen to this relevant bunch of recommendations:

Pierre142: This mod is a must have for players who grew bored of the late game !
DeathD1: Subbed because of the memes
Danso: you glorious bastard!
Tallestdavid: pictures were the best thing about the mod
disguy67: U WANNA PLAY THIS GAME LIKE A FILTHY FKIN CASUL????!!!!! THEN THIS IS THE MOD FOR YOU
Benjen: Cabbage
Lokislav [SVK]: WANNA INVADE COUNTRIES LIKE A FAKHED WITH NO C(ASS)US BELI NEEDED? THIS SAVAGE MOD IS FOR YOU
Falder: It's liek totally greet for a filthy TW player who just lieks the conquest part and sucks at alliances!

Features:
Allows an independent player as to declare an invasion war on border states, and gain the land they conquer during the campaign (except land belonging to allies of the main protagonists). You only need to capture the county capital. Plus, it's only you who is this golden, glorious, madman! No other weak pathetic AI ruler can even dream of such conquest!

Installation:
Magic magic magic.

Compatibility:
Not compatible with hard-core CK2 players.

Recommendations:
A Holy Christian Invasion by BobbyCrocker, making the framework for the CB.
Underhanded Tactics - more realistic options for a medieval Ruler.
Harem Kings - the mod that fought monogomy in Europe!
Options of Life - another of my mods.
Kings of Slaves and Vices - though it's an adult mod.

FAQ:
Q. I can't declare the war?
A. You must be independent and live next to the wanted enemy, and have some prestige to spare.
Q. What's the colour of your eyes?
A. Eh... In case the current setup is too unbalanced just write your ideas on the wall.
Q. So, what's you' wearing?
A. Okay... Remember that CK2 often fails to load up for no reason, try a few times and check compatibility with other mods before sending me those bug reports.

Change log:
17-04-16
Changed the wartype so few states join your enemy without course. Might be changed back if it makes things a little too easy.
Changed the requirement from piety to prestige, and now any independent ruler should be able to declare war, even counts and dukes.

Idk, it didn't work for me. Does anyone know why?

I'm not European, so the concept of Casus Beli is stupid to me anyways. I've also read some of their history, their truce aren't even 10 yrs long. Or maybe they said 10 yrs, then resume the war in less than a yr. I'll try this out, so CK2 will no longer be my sleeping aid.

@Odium and to all others interested. got it working.

Go to your Mods in \Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\mod. Find the conquest zip, and unzip to it's own folder. If there are two discriptor files, delete the bigger one, and open the discriptor. You need to edit the archive portion of the text.

change archive="mod/conquest.zip" to archive="mod/conquest"

After that, copy paste this text into the conquest.mod file and delete the discriptor

Afterward, delete the conquest zip file and unsub from the mod to keep it from auto re-downloading. I don't know if it would cause any issues having BOTH the zip and the folder in your mods folder, but I'd rather not take the chance...and seeing as this got the mod working for me, I'll take it.

Please update this.

Is there a version of this where you could choose specific provinces to annex?

@Odium The only other thing that I did was in both of the .mod files, in the Tags brackets I changed "Cassus Belli" to "Casus Belli"
To also note, I played with all DLC and no other Casus Belli changing mods. I don't think DLC is the culprit, but other mods might break the Casus Belli list in the game and not let this one work.

@FoxPotato Did you do anything else to get it to work? Doing that I am still not seeing it in game. Thanks!

For anyone wanting a fix, this is what I did:

- Go into the mod folder in Documents. You should see Conquest.zip and Conquest.mod.mod
- Open Conquest.zip
- You should see 2 descriptor.mod files
- Delete the one that's a larger size (should be 96 bytes), was the top one for me
- Then you can unpack the other one, open it in a text editor, and copy its contents
- Go back to the mods folder and open the Conquest.mod.mod file in a text editor, replace its text with what you just copied
- Run the game with the mod active, and you should see the "Invasion" casus belli pop up now
