Hammerhead Bomber

Description
A Drone Bomber-
Once unleashed, these drone bombers seek out hostile or neutral Large ships and bombard them with missiles.

Note that Bombers only seek large ships (as there is little to no use in trying to bomb small ships)

These drones inculde rudimentary IFF systems, ability to bank and turn and chase targets and avoid ramming or crowding friendly targets.

These drones are ideal for carriers: just attach the bomber to carrier via connector and once it is neccessary to deploy it, trigger timer block "launch". Do note that the craft will then propel itself sideways out of the launch bay until it turns on tracking and goes off- the bomber is sideways launched.

You can alternatively activate the drone manually by triggering "Engage" timer block or pressing 3 when in ship's cocpit.

Minimal amount of mods used (1)

The craft is only 3 large ship blocks in height- it is small enough to be launched from double-airlocks made from vanilla game Airtight Hangar Doors. This means that you don't have to rely on more iffy piston or rotor airlocks to get this ship out of the hangar, since pistons and rotors have bad habit of exploding and creating miniature black holes that rip and tear your carriers apart.

These drones, as all sensor-based drones are ideal for attacking single targets and lose efficiency when sent against multiple ships as the sensors get confused when multiple targets are around.

The drones have 3.000m detection radius and 10.000m pursue radius (they will seek targets within 3.000m and/or when they are pointed at a target, they will hunt it as long as the target remains within 10.000m of the front of the drone)

To get the best result trash auto-removal should be ON and the admin tool (alt+F10 ingame) should be se to remove linearly moving objects (of 1-10 blocks) - this reducest the amount of "clutter" in the space and reduces the cases where the drones start to pursue a gyroscope that has floated off during the fight or something.
It can be frustrating to see the drone rocket off in heroic pursue of a stray damaged gyroscope while the actual fight is sill going on.

It also helps the frame rate, so it's win win scenario.

This ship is also survial ready, although it is slightly suicidical.

The ship is not rated for atmosphere.

Update 1: Passing turn-time decreased, the ship should now properly turn if it overshoots the target.
Update 2: Improved seeking, ship no longer tracks small ships and now pursues large ships.
