After another spring break returning home after camping covered in mosquito bites, i was inspired to make a senario to simulate my pain and hatred of flying exoparasites.
Leishmaniasis is a protozoan disease, like malaria, and carried by the vampiric sandfly. There are several species of this disease, typically limited to skin ulcers, but a few strains have immunosuppressive, haemorragic, viceral, mucotaneous, and atrophagic properties.
The protozoa's ability to reproduce sexually inside the sandfly
