So I've exported, converted, imported and customized 18 commercial, 15 residential, all service buildings and many unique ploppable buildings. Approximately 50 buidlings and they look great. I've also modified some walls and barracks to go with the theme. Colors are matching up good. I'm just working on industrial buildings like farms. Trying to create growable farms and farm buildings that look and work well. Next will be transport buildings. I'll upload a screenshot of what I have done soon.

Thanks for responding. I know the legal stuff can be a pain. However I am really just converting them to Skylines for my own use. I think things are going well. I've quickened the process and am able to fully convert an asset in about 10 minutes each. I'm just playing with the scale a bit so I don't have to use Skylines Asset editor to increase the size of the model by a factor of 800. I'll be dabbling a bit with tweaking the textures once I get the scale perfected. I'd love to share what I have done. Perhaps we can correspond through email though. Mine is .. seniorpapito@gmail.com
Thats just my gaming email which includes a lot of spam and such. Talk soon.

@zavion

Awesome dude :) Share me your stuff when you finish something. Though I have to say I stopped for a reason. Not sure if its completely legal :P Thats why I stopped. I might be making some models of my own again when I got the time. Anyways, share me the good stuff :P And yea you seem to learn quick :P I dont use blender. I use 3DS max. Also, if you have problems, just ask me. I came across a lot of problems that I had to fix. (so let me know if u need me :)

Good luck!

Your work has inpired me. Thank you. I do like the color pallet you chose for your assets. Sort of a grey stone brick dark yet luxurious feel.

Update. Ok well I think I have it. I've been able to export from Anno and import into Blender to set the UVmap and save as an .fbx file. I had to vertically flip the textures so they would work. Some of the textures require transparency but I can't seem to get the .png format to show the transperancy but can easily creat an alpha texture to show the transperancy properly in game. Another thing is the scale. If I leave the model in the blender format I can adjust the scale in the Asset Editor by 800. This seems to creat a proper size asset in Skylines. I'd like to figure out how to adjust the scale in Blender but seems irrelevent for now. I knew I'd figure it out aventually. Now to find a textures saturation that I like and apply it to all the textures so that it creates a similar atmosphere in Skylines. I'm off to start converting as many assets as I can to build a totally new theme for Skylines.

Something wrong with the scale. I understand Skylines is 8m per square as Blender is 1m per square. Have to fiddle with that unless you have a trick for me. As soon as I get the orientation and scale correct I'll work on getting the texture to work. Be back tomorrow for more head scratching. As you may tell, I'm new to this but learn quickly.

Update. Was able to import and apply the original texture to the model in Blender. Looks great. Now I have to figure out how to make the model size and texture size compatible with Skylines before compiling the model and texture....

Update. I've managed to export a model from Anno and import the mesh into Blender as an .obj file. Now working on configuring the texture....

I love these assets. I'm really trying to creat a medieval theme and I love the look of these assets. I was hoping you could explain how you went about extracting the models then importing them into Skylines. Id like to help in creating more Anno models for Skylines. This is maybe not the best place to discuss such moddifications so if you are willing to explain a bit we could chat perhaps through email or something rather. I'm curently trying to download the RDA extractor for Anno to export the models I want. Thats step one I'm assuming. Thanks for your consideration.
