Earth Alliance Ardent Class monitor is designed as a System Defence ship. It is meant to stay in-system, so it doesn't have jump engine installed. But it packs heavy payload of weapons for its size. Armed with Plasma cannon turret, two heavy short range Plasma Mortars, missiles and anti-fighter particle pulse turrets. Use this ship as a system defence ships.
