Supermarine "Spitfire"

Description
Weapon Mapping:

This version of the Spitfire uses the Rogue as a model and comes with two camouflage skins. The recommended loadout is to use the twin gun as the primary, the cannons on the right slot, and the unguided rockets on the left slot. The bottom weapons slot may be used for any weapon; a picture of the recommended loadout is at the end of the slide show.

History & Facts:

The Supermarine Spitfire is a British single-seat fighter aircraft that was used by the Royal Air Force and many other Allied countries before, during, and after the Second World War. The Spitfire was designed as a short-range, high-performance interceptor aircraft and was the only British fighter to be in continuous production throughout WWII. The Spitfire also has a very distinctive, thin elliptical wing shape, which gives the plane good stall characteristics and a high performance that continuously improved with upgrades throughout the war. The elliptical wings and varying angle of incidence cause the roots of the wing to reach stall first which causes the plane to shake, letting even novice pilots know when they were about to stall.

References and Credits:

As always, first thanks goes to Red Crested Ibis for help with the modeling, decal mapping, and history of this aircraft. In order to capture the elliptical shape of the wings correctly, the 3d model from this site http://tf3dm.com/3d-model/supermarine-spitfire-39802.html was used for reference. Sound files were collected from Battlefield 1942 and history gathered from Wikipedia and Red Crested Ibis.

@GoodThingThoseBugsCan’tAimAHHH Glad you liked it and figured out how to edit it to your liking! Enjoy.

I found the .json and edited it so that it was based on the schwalbe, which I think is more historically accurate.

Lots of fun to fly (the engine does make a sound btw), is there a way to make it a tad more maneuverable? I can go into the files and edit it, I'm just unsure how it works. Is the rudder directly specified or is it just the general maneuverability stat?

Also really appreciate that the cannons fire out of the cannons and the guns fire out of the guns.

It did when I posted this mod almost 2 years ago. There's been a lot of updates since then to how mods operate, and I haven't played the game in a long time. However, the number of subscribers keeps climbing and nobody has complained yet, so I assume it all still works okay.

Does it actually make the engine sound?
...Is it even possible to mod in audio..?
