Small Resource Icons

Description
A tiny Mod that replaces the original Resource Icons (64x64) with smaller ones (45x45).

Only works with Rising Tide.
If you don't own Rising Tide, use this Version instead.

Not really much to say about this mod, it does exactly what it says, it scales down resource/nest/artifact icons so they take up less space on the map. The difference isn't that big when zoomed in, but it makes a rather big difference when zoomed out.

______________________________________________________________________________

This mod can be used as Pseudo-DLC so you don't have to go through the mod menu to have it active (And it won't disable achievements if it's loaded as DLC):

- Let the game download the mod
- Go to: Users\<Your User Name>\Documents\my games\Sid Meier's Civilization Beyond Earth\MODS\Small Resource Icons (v 1)
- Copy the Folder 'SmallResourcIconsDLC' to Steam\steamapps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization Beyond Earth\assets\DLC
- Restart the game, done

The DLC-Version is still be incompatible with the Base Game (it does seem to work, but it spams tons of lua errors which can cause problems), so you should delete the folder if you want to play with the base game. That's also how you "uninstall" the Pseudo-DLC.

Not necessary. I was just wondering and trust you it's your own. I just stubled about a mod from WHoward, on his website, that was doing the same thing, a few minutes before i saw this one. But ok :) Will try this one out, had bugs with a few of WHowards mods.

Also Howards Civ:BE mods are not on the same page as the Civ 5 Mods, had to google espacialy for his BE mods. Seems i can't link here so you'll have to google yourself if you want to see them.

Looks like WHoward did a similar thing for Civ 5. I don't think he ever ported it to Beyond Earth, if he did I can't find it.

But either way, no this mod is not an upload of his mod, nor is it based on any of his code, the only things contained in this mod are a direct copy-paste of 2 of the original Beyond Earth UI files where I changed a few numbers so not the 64x64 icons are loaded but the 45x45 versions instead and a new background image file that I also created myself, by downscaling the original image file contained in the game itself (And of course the file that tells the game what to do if this mod is loaded as dlc and not through the mod menu - which is just a simple system-file with no actual coding going on).

If you want to compare you can find the original UI files in:
Steam\steamapps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization Beyond Earth\assets\DLC\Expansion1\UI\InGame
