Description
My goal was to make an oldschool map, a map that won't gift you the fastest route upon the first run. My motivation for making this map was the competitiveness of other blockmaps such as Westblock, Beginnerblock, Natureblock and Cellblock, they have a lot of different routes you can take to complete the map, and therefore any newer kz'er can complete the map by ease, however if you want to be able to set a fast time, you will have to perfect the map by learning all the block skips, and crouch tech (The way of getting the fastest possible recovery out of your crouching).

The above also adds to the reasoning behind the texture choice, I was going for the oldschool blockmap feel.

So I ask to please consider the goal of the map when judging, I personally think that this map could be very competitive, as we can see on other blockmaps. Blockmap records such as Cellblock and Beginnerblock are clearly some of the hardest records to beat.

Thanks to CouTx and Tapzie

Thanks to Caja for longjump room

There are a bunch of skips throughout the map but I feel like they still make good KZ and don't ruin the map. There is also a lot of crouching in this map but it still feels competitive enough and has enough combo capability to be accepted.

I think that would be all personal. As the map name kinda suggests, it was made for rifk, who enjoys these maps. I find that if you study the map and learn it, you can get a rewarding fast time, just like haki, westblock, etc. Thank you for sharing your opinion.

I did. But it doesn't make for a fun gameplay experience. I'm just sharing my opinion, blockskips combined with noduck jumps are not fun.

GWD, if you would please read my previous comments and or description, thanks.

Theres like 10 blockskips on every single stage. The whole map is a blockskip. The mapper should look up jump heights in CS:GO and re-make this map.

I added a youtube video of the route I use, I personally think the map flows really well and will/would be competitive.

Thank you for your feedback, I appreciate it. The goal of the map was to make it feel like a early CS:GO kz map ported from 1.6, smiliar to Cellblock, Westblock, natureblock and so forth, which is why I deicded to use low quality default textures as on natureblock. I added many crouch jumps so that it isn't a straight forward combo map, like for example kz_brightblock, and that it requires you to be able to crouch tech correctly to be able to set a good time. I worked together with rifk and zane to make sure the kz was fun, but also challenging if you want to set a good time.

There are a large amount of block skips, and small shortcuts, making the map feel as it's of low quality. The texturing would also add to this. The lighting is pretty good, and the KZ itself feels a bit repetitive for a map of small size. The many crouch jumps break the flow of the map. I would suggest that the map should be polished, add some different types of jumps, and made longer in length.
