Die Macher

Description
Die Macher is a game about seven sequential political races in different regions of Germany. Players are in charge of national political parties, and must manage limited resources to help their party to victory. The winning party will have the most victory points after all the regional elections. There are four different ways of scoring victory points. First, each regional election can supply one to eighty victory points, depending on the size of the region and how well your party does in it. Second, if a party wins a regional election and has some media influence in the region, then the party will receive some media-control victory points. Third, each party has a national party membership which will grow as the game progresses and this will supply a fair number of victory points. Lastly, parties score some victory points if their party platform matches the national opinions at the end of the game.

This is the 2006 Valley Games version.

Hi, wanted you know that your mod has been added to my collection: Board Game Geek - BGG - May 2020 - Best Mod for each of the Top 500 Rated Games. Collection here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2086043930

The collection used this priority system:

1. Mod's Files Availability: Mod with all/most files still available for download
2. Feature completeness: Mod with greatest inclusion of expansions and/or promos available for the board game title
2. Scripting: Mod with scripting that most reduces work in setup/play for players
3. Component Quality: Mod with the best visuals/usability in terms of component quality
4. Table Setup/Ambiance: Mod with the best immersion with table, background, and other modeling.

Please also note that a mod that makes selection for this list very well could be one in which the mod author borrowed the majority of assets from another workshop listing, so full thanks to all who worked on a mod.

Thanks for your hard work!

@metalcallous - I just used poker chips for the money. Drop one of the 0s and call it good. For the scorecards you can make something similar just using the notecards and typing up stuff on them.

Has anyone ever tried this? I have not played this before but perusing the rules and some videos. Isn't the individual player scorecards and the play money missing? Or am I missing something?

There is a Discord server dedicated to TTS, https://discord.me/ttsclub . There is a forum on there, looking-for-games. You might get some interest there. I agree, a game like Die Macher may be a hard sell, though!

A 5/6 hour game about German Politics is definitely a hard sell on here. I imagine anyway. Are there any forums for TTS looking for players, or such.

Jonnycosmic, thanks! To be honest, I have only played the game once and that was many years ago. I own a copy and since it wasn't on the Workshop, I figured I'd put it up. Certainly the 1st game in the BGG database (by number input, not by ranking...look at the URL...https://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/1/die-macher) deserves a place in TTS!

This is incredible. Thank you so much for making this available. Are there many players of Die Macher on TTS though. Love to get a game going.

Thanks for making this available. is there a scoring sheet in the game for players to prepare thier starting position and make bids or starting player?
