Amphion - Gerridian - Skycrane [Vanilla]

While not capable of transatmospheric flight like its larger cousin, the Gerridian is equipped with a more advanced suite of electronics to aid in rescue operations and transportation of cargo pods, vehicles, and the like. Weighing in at 92 tonnes, it is capable of lifting a maximum load of 360,000 kg (including itself). While not a ludicrous total lift capability, it is still able to do some serious work.

The Gerridian, or Gerty, as some pilots affectionately nicknamed the craft, is equipped to fly in all atmospheres and still provide oxygen to the cockpit, as well as refill hydrogen for wayward engineers. It's designed to be easy to fly, and the craft has a low-power mode for long-term flight (even if it goes slightly into the red zone for power consumption, it's still using up less juice than the high-power mode) activated by pressing 2 in the console.

The ship also comes with radar to detect both friend and foe, though it's incapable of distinguishing the two, up to 10,000m away, a good distance before her comms antenna shows up. It also has an ore detector, should one desire to scout with it.

She doesn't have much in the way of personal cargo space, but has some small containers on either side to accommodate personal items for crew that gets picked up.

Gerty is built with ease of use in mind, and so comes with a flight assist mode accessed by toolbar tab 2.

1 toggles the hover assist
2 switches to hover mode

4 is glide
5 is free glide

7 is a button you probably don't want to press. Suicidal software embedded. She is a tad emotional at times.

She also has a singular gatling turret to ward off pesky unmanned drones, but a dedicated fighter will easily destroy her in a normal fight. It's only to assist in getting away more easily. In case of damage, she does have a means of repairs, facilitated by the maintenance projector.
