Hah, the first thing I wanted to do when I installed stellaris is make a custom civilization for The Culture. Then I was like "I wonder if someone already made a mod for the names list." :)

Could you do a mod with names from/inspired by Asmimov's Foundation series?

Thank you SO MUCH!

In the mean time, you can make the red ! go away just by changing the mod descriptor. In your documents\paradox interactive\stellaris\mod\ directory. Look for the .mod file for this mod (the name of the mod will be the first line) and change line supported_version to "2.3.*"

@Jerimus, see other comments, just ignore the warning and it'll work.

think you could update this?

Idk why but I went in expecting this to be some sort of vaporwave species mod.

It's a name list; unless Paradox changes how names work, it will never actually become outdated. The launcher just compares the version number with a given mod's "supports X" number, and flags it as out of date if they differ. It also does this for mods with no defined "supports X" number, and even mods whose defined number is higher than the version of Stellaris being run, such as if you revert to an older build for whatever reason.

I just subscribed and it says it doesn't support 1.6
