Using FFXED without HxD and PSU Template
By slyfuldragon
This guide is to simply allow you to edit your save without the need to install HxD (or a Hex editor) or the need to use a PS2 save template.

Disclaimer: I made FFXHD Chunk Deleter strictly for use the of fun purposes, not for the purpose to cheat for achievements or any of the sort -- that said, if you chose to do so, then that's on you.

  • FFXED + MemorySumChecker + FFXHD Chunk Deleter: www(dot)mediafire(dot)com/?5s7ld5jhvvcyj10 (Replace (dot) with . )
  • Virus Scan (for those cautious):here[www.virustotal.com]

*there are 4 false positives due to how I obfuscated and complied FFXHD Chunk Deleter. I can assure you these are false positives as it's only 4 instead of 7+.

Steps
  1. Open up FFXHD Chunk Deleter (this gets rid of the need to install HxD, manually search for the offset and manually delete it, as well as the need to use the PS2 template)
  2. Load your save (the program will automatically create a backup [.bak] file of your save in the directory of the program -- note, it will also overwrite any present .bak files of that save. So aware).
  3. Click Delete Chunk Data.
  4. Close and Open FFXED and edit whatever you'd like.
  5. Save and Close.
  6. Open MemorySumChecker. (this fixes the checksum, without this, your save will be corrupted upon loading)
  7. Cick on the (F) or File then (O) or Open.
  8. Make sure the dropdown selection is has the "X HD" option selected.
  9. Click the Blue Play button and close.
  10. Launch FFX HD and load up your save.
  11. Enjoy.

*Again, this is strictly for fun purposes (primarily after the fact that you've beaten/completed the game -- not intended for any achievement cheating purposes) or challenging purposes.

If you are looking to edit your FFX-2 HD save then check out my other guide here or If you if you would like to use a Hex Editor (which you may already have) instead of the program I made for this guide, check out rodrigo_vda's guide here.

It does work for Windows 10 and below. Make sure you have .NET Frameworks 2.0 - 4.5 installed.

Otherwise, what isn't it making it work exactly? What are you doing and what is it doing in return?

Thank you brother. I have put 500+ hours into the game and do not feel like unlocking Nemesis again.
