Steps for Celsius Guide
  1. First open the Celsius.exe(Celsius\bin\Release\)
  2. Press F2 -- this will open the Properties window.
  3. Click the dropdown bar at the top and set it to "Celsius"
  4. Navigate to "Misc" and set to "Leblanc" for the PsuIO (You will be able to load your FFX-2 HD save and make changes.)
  5. After you click "Open" and load your save, use the arrow buttons at the bottom to navigate the menu and change what values you'd like.
  6. Save and Close.
  7. Open MemorySumChecker. (this fixes the checksum, without this, your save will be corrupted upon loading)
  8. Click on the (F) or File then (O) or Open.
  9. Make sure the dropdown selection has the "X-2 HD" option selected.
  10. Click the Blue Play button and close.
  11. Launch FFX-2 HD and load up your save.
  12. Enjoy.

Below will be a screenshot to guide you on how to follow along with steps 2-6 for a more "user-friendly" approach.

*Again, this is strictly for fun purposes (primarily after the fact that you've beaten/completed the game -- not intended for any achievement cheating purposes) or challenging purposes. If you experience any issues with the save editor, you may need to wait until the creator releases a newer version of the program

If you are looking to edit your FFX HD save then check out my other guide (containing what you will need including a program a made) here or check out rodrigo_vda's guide (if you would like to use a Hex Editor that you may already have, instead of the program I made) here.

Of course! I’m glad that I got to help out because I went through the trenches trying to get this to work, I hope in the future we can save someone a lot of time trying to change something up in their save file.

Also I wanted to mention how the crimson sphere #5 has a little visual bug when you watch it at shinra’s station where the models get misplaced at a random frame of the scene. This doesn’t do anything bad though and you can still watch it from start to finish normally to get the percentage points and you can also use it normally in the den of woe. If I had to guess on WHY this happens to the cutscene it’s probably just because it was edited into the file and not obtained how it was supposed to, I’m not 100% sure why though. But again, this doesn’t affect anything, it just has a little visual bug.

Thanks Suki, I'll have to try that out and update the guide with the other editor as well sometime soon. What was originally a guide for an old PS2 save editor that (I forget who) created, that then turned out to work for PC, now evolves into something more.

Haha thank you so much man! I should definitely also add that if you were also struggling with this like i was, you still HAVE to add that missing percentage points you didn’t get from talking to Leblanc. So you’d need to edit the crimson sphere #5 into your save file with Celsius, and you also need to run your save file with this ffx-2 editor named “FFX2SaveEditor”. Double click on the plot flag you missed if you didn’t talk to Leblanc to add those 0.2 percent points. You’d need both of those to get the 100%. Here’s the GitHub to download it:

https://github.com/Meth962/FFX2SaveEditor/releases

Just go to “Story Completion” and then click on any chapter that you missed anything on, and then double click on the event that you missed to add that missing percentage into your save file.

Good job Suki. To tell the truth there is a lot of features for this tool that I've never seen anybody use so I've no idea what any of it does. Finding out something like that is great and should help somebody else further down the line.

YES I fixed it and figured it out. If anyone ever struggles with this and wants to know, this is how I did it. I’m not sure if this was supposed to be enabled by default and mine just wasn’t, but when you’re in the properties tab and go to “Celsius” and put the PsulO to “Leblanc”, the thing right under it should say “PsuTarget”, if it’s on USER change it to DEFAULT and re-open your save file. This should make it so that all the correct information of your save file displays in the editor normally, which then you can edit whatever you want and hit save and run it thru memorysumchecker

Could anyone PLEASE help me? I’m far into the game and I missed the crimson sphere #5 in the end of chapter 4. Every time I open my file in the editor it shows me completely different information than the one in my file, but I still went in and ticked on crimson sphere #5, ran it thru memorysumchecker and when I start playing again it’s not there. I even went back and checked every single key item on in my save file just to test it out and nothing had changed in game. Is there something I’m doing wrong? Should the editor have the wrong information like I mentioned earlier? Please HELP!!!! I really don’t want to restart or have to do it all again in NG+

Ah okay.

It looks like this editor does not have any way of effecting the creature creator. I ended up finding another mod or editor called Farplane that runs as the game is running. It allows you to change the creatures in the capture pods to what you want, as well as the normal cheats. Id still recommend Celsius over Farplane for anything involving YRP changes and item management.

To edit Creature Creator profiles in the FFX-2 HD Celsius save editor, you'll need to first open the editor and navigate to the "Misc" section. In the "Misc" section, select "Leblanc" for the PsuIO option, which will allow you to load and edit your FFX-2 HD save. After loading your save, you can use the arrow buttons to navigate the menu and modify values as needed. Finally, you'll need to use the MemorySumChecker to fix the checksum, as this is essential for the save to load without corruption, and then launch FFX-2 HD to enjoy your changes.

Taken from google so I'm unsure how much is current or accurate. I'm also unsure whether you need to even use the MemorySumChecker anymore.

Is there any way to edit the creature creator party members at all? I was wondering if we would be able to add or edit them at all to help set up for challenge runs of the game.
