Portable protection at little to no cost! The P.U.P. (Personal Utility Platforms) system allows you to pre-queue up defense or survival on the fly!

To access any containers simply walk up to the unit and press P, Check from the list on the right and double click!

Try looking at when this was posted next time Nauttdog. This has not been updated in a long time. There was nothing on here that said this was going to give you protection other than the fact that it is called a PUP, wich is part of its classification. Asking about it next time instead of downplaying something you apparently dont understand.

it isn't protected and there is no where to hide from mobs... how is this any protection. there are better options in the workshop that cost less than this

Everything you could possibly need (assuming you don't need defense) in an absolutely tiny and cheap contraption. Very well done!
