Teignmouth, Devon, UK.

European theme.

The last piece of English soil to be invaded by a foreign power. At the head of the Teign Estuary in Devon, Teignmouth is a popular fishing and seaside resort. Rolling British hills and stark cliffsides interspersed with beaches make this map a nice challenge to build on. Nearby Newton Abbot grew rapidly when the South Devon Railway Company (later GWR) and was host to Brunel's experiments with atmospheric railway.

To achieve the look in the preview pictures I recommend the Realistic European Theme 1.2.

Population: ~15 000
Newton Abbot Population: ~25 000
Newton Abbot is home to one of the last remaining cider houses in the UK.
Last English town to be invaded by a foreign power.
Until 2009, Kingsteignton was England's largest village.

I grew up in Teignmouth. I can't believe someone made a map based on it!

Cool map i've have been to Teignmouth my Self and the railway line runs along a seawall called the Teignmouth Seawall and throw 5 tunnels to a place called Dawlish just a few miles away also a really ni9ce place then the railway goes along the Dawlish Seawall up to Dawlish Warren. i would recommand going to these two places in your life if you havent been before. I love this Map so well done. But one thing and you guessed it why is the Cliffs Not red look they are in reallife. Doesnt matter you done a cracking job at this. !
