The Zeta Reticulans (previously known by the derogatory name: "The Greys") , were an ancient race who were a menace to the galaxy, and a thorn in Humanity's side for many centuries. Records exist of them visiting Earth as far back as classic antiquity, where they were thought of as Gods. Some of our ancient ancestors even built temples in their honor (such as the Pyramids at Giza).

Although benign at first, their visits to our home planet quickly became malicious. Cattle mutilations, abductions, crop circles... these were just some of their doings, but their legacy would last through the ages.

They regularly performed genetic, scientific, and sexual experiments and manipulations on not only Humans, but numerous other races throughout the galaxy.

To this day, no one knows why they did what that they did, what their goals were, or what their genetic experiments have done to our race in the long run.

They were defeated in the "War of the 7 Stars" when the A.F.S.A.G.E. (Alliance of Free Species Against Genetic Experimentation), led by the Terran Coalition beat them back. One by one, they were pushed out of every sector of space, until they had no where left to go but their homeworld. Their home planet was surrounded and bombarded from orbit, into oblivion. Although their civilization was wiped out from the face of the galaxy, their legacy remains and their technology can still be seen througout many systems. A lot of their ships were captured and reverse-engineered.

This is one of their larger fighter / interceptors. It was the reason for many-a casaulties during the war. It was rumored (and highly believed) that one of these vessels crashed near Roswell, in the New Mexico region of (then) United States of America around the 1940's. Conspiracy theorists also believe that the Government salvaged the ship, and recovered the bodies of the aliens. However, no credible evidence has ever been produced to either prove or disprove these claims. Decades later, a B&W video surfaced showing an autopsy being performed on a "Grey" extra terrestial in some secret government lab. The Government denied the authenticity of the video, and claimed it to be an elaborate hoax. The video would be released again years later, as a colorized version dubbed: "Alien Autopsy". Regarding the spacecraft, then famous actor, Will Smith, once stated that he HAD to: "get me one-a these!"

These ships were particularly deadly to human fighters early in the war. They feature quad ventral mounted laser blasters, and a dorsal dome mounted plasma cannon. These weapons far outclassed anything humanity had in it's arsenal at the time the war started.
