To the kids who keep uploading nerfed/edited versions of this addon: durgz_roleplay exists for a reason; utilise it. Not entirely happy with our ConVar? Talk to cleveland steamer, his actual name, since Steam mods be racist.

Tried and true—the premier Garry's Mod drugs addon DurgzMod is back! Now updated to the brand-spanking new v3.0 revision, with new additions and some revamped classics! There are bound to be some bugs with this update, so please let me know what's wrong with it, should you encounter any trouble :)

Our addon does not promote or glamorize the use of illicit substances; it is intended as an educational too, with intention to teach that drugs have consequences. These entities will impair the player, and prove fatal in excess, more so than they do to provide any practical in-game benefit! Please do not approach drugs in real-life as if they are some kind of toy!!

Don't become another statistic. Your life is valuable, and always think of your loved ones!

You mean Europol put a man in prison who used to hand money out to people who got screwed over? They probably wanted to keep it all for themselves! As shown through the statement made with Operation Cyberpunk 2077, they see the livelihoods of living people as little more than a game to line their pockets up with!! The crime rate skyrockeded because LE forced "all the undesirables" to the streets that night!!! Great way to protect and serve, boys. The backdoored addon hasn't been removed - it's visibility has meekly been set to 'hidden' by STEAM_0:1:46758361. If your server has subscribed to that version of the Drugs Mod, you still need to unsubscribe and delete ds_112986621.

tl;dr i didn't do it, get this backdoor-free replacement addon, sorry
First and foremost, this isn't a new update... there will be a new update for this mod coming quite soon, but I'm particularly busy with school, music, intoxicants and all that other♥♥♥♥♥♥- I don't know when it'll be ready and it won't be much aside from technical fixes and improvements as well as making some drugs less♥♥♥♥♥♥ Now for an explanation...

I'm bad coder - one of the two actual developers of the addon. To clear things up, I just wanna say that neither me or cheesylard backdoored the addon. No, this was the work of one STEAM_0:1:46758361, who originally uploaded the addon back in 2012 when GMod 13 and Steam workshop were still fresh.

As a result of this, he was the only one with ability to commit changes to the addon, and once we expressed interest in working on the addon again, any updates that we made had to be sent to him to upload - we didn't have any involvement with writing or uploading malicious code to Steam Workshop, STEAM_0:1:46758361 was effectively the only one with this ability.

As for this incident, I can't say I really know what happened due to the fact I only just got home and still trying to process this (lol), but it appears as though our addon-reuploading friend recently went rogue and implemented a very poorly constructed backdoor into the addon without notifying me or original addon creator cheesylard.

The rest is history.

If you're a server owner, I greatly advise you restart; remove any traces of the original addon and replace it with this addon - the new home of DurgzMod (yes, in light of this incident - there will be new updates soon). The backdoored addon still exists as 'hidden' - If you need help cleaning the old addon from your server, the workshopID of the backdoored addon is 112986621.

Tear into it if you want to make sure there are no backdoors, there certainly aren't - this is nothing but an old revision of the addon that I will soon be updating.

We are deeply apologetic that this was ever allowed to happened, thank you for hearing us out.
