Rainbow Road 64

Description
The original Rainbow Road from Mario Kart 64

This is the classic Rainbow Road 64, directly ported from Mario Kart 64.

The mod includes two layouts: Rainbow Road 64 Classic and Rainbow Road 64 Remastered.
The classic layout is a direct port from Mario Kart 64, which makes it really bumpy and low-poly, very hard to drive.
The remastered layout is heavily smoothed, making it much more fun to drive than the classic layout, while looking even more awesome and retaining the original look of the Rainbow Road.

I recommend trying the remastered layout, as it really is much more fun and just so much better!


Known bugs and to-do:

-Find a way to make AI and player respawn when falling off the track
Implemented and works fine

-Refine AI line to make them not fall down as much (remastered layout helps alot!)

-Find a way to get 2D animations working

-Music? Probably impossible, would be nice though

Great track. But it's so disappointing, and frankly really odd, that music of all things can't be modded into the game when the game seems really open for modding

I love the concept, and would like to see this mod fixed up right. The main problem is that the track seems to be set up as gravel or something, as hardly any vehicles can get grip on it. With some vehicles, it's actually impossible to race on, because of this. You just can't get up the steeper inclines. Beyond that, there seem to be a couple of areas where the track isn't aligned, so it can be a bit jarring to go over those areas. Fix these issues, and I think this mod would get a lot of use.
