Glow in the dark grenades-launchables

As requested by a few friends that liked the idea, I am publishing it.

Kudos to Snarri "bright-etc" (he even changes frequently name!). Whatever, go check his mod out! You may like it better https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=509922492
He owns the original idea of glowing nades and helped me with molotov (even if, in the end, I preferred to use a different approach :V).

So, what the hell is this?

I edited the original textures of the grenades/launchables to make the world model have glowing details.

THAT'S IT, LOOK NO MORE LADIES AND GENTLERMEN, I present you the tactical advantage of seeing stuff in the dark in a single click!

No more grenades lost in the dark! See them, grab them, use them!

No viewmodels,this works for worldmodels only: stay frosty, you don't need glowing distractions in hand, only easier spotting!

I found quite interesting to edit the default textures instead of creating brand new ones, to mantain a bit the default feel. For smokes and flashbangs, I even used the white stripes as a glowing detail.

UPDATES:

-1.1
*fixed F1 (frag) and M18 (smoke) masks. That caused to make the entire grenade glow instead of just the added details.
*made M84 (flash) glowing details more cyan, as before it was more difficult to distinguish it from a smoke
*made ANM14 (incendiary) glowing stripes thicker, as before they were too thin, making hard to spot them

these are better than the other simply cause of the molotov.
otherwise the others would be slightly better depending on opinion because they blink

If you mean the standalone, I'm afraid I can't do so, as I didn't buy the game and most likely I won't. If you refer to the mod, I am surprised if it is still populated, but I may try in that case.

Hi @Winny, thanks for the feedback and the ideas.
And sorry for the late reply, I was on holiday, without my PC for 3 weeks xD

About the brightness of the colors, I made some tests before uploading for the first time, and I believe this is the best solution for now as they can be clearly seen, even in daylight under shadows. For the band, I like the idea of making different details for the nades of the same type to make easier to distinguish them (if you see 2 white or cyan bands you are sure that is a flash one for example). For these reasons, I would prefer to avoid modifying them for those points. Not a permanent decision however, I am always open to experimenting and testing to find the best solution.
For C4 & IED, I still can't hide to be a bit worried that it would be a "cheat" even if it is not the intention, anyway I will experiment and test about this. If you have any specific ideas to make it, comment here and I'll give it a shot. Same for other ideas you may have.

The hand grenades almost look like some Halo sci-fi thing in the dark. I would change the glowing parts to just a single band around each item and make them a little less bright.
Otherwise it's totally awesome and works great.

Also, for C4/IED you could do a small part of each so it's still not too noticable, but just noticable enough if you were looking on the ground for one?

Not included. Those 2 are mostly used to set up traps. C4 in particular can even be placed on walls/props.

That said, if I would make them glow, that may be a cheat in my opinion.

However if you think that may be of some use and I should add it, I'm here to listen your opinion and decide consequently.

Thanks for the reply. I also tested with a friend and it seems to be a problem of my computer. I already opened a ticket where the support indicated me how to fix the problem.
