Since the XV ships are too fast, the SF Industries had trouble combating their ships. The SF Interceptor was the answer to the XV ship series, it features four heavy caliber guns, two on each side. It also has a unique landing pattern but it does not have a hover mode the the Raven and the Gunship but other than that, its a swift fighter/interceptor plane.
