Description
New Microbot is here - 33% smaller, with longer independent life and new functions!

Microbot is not a drone - once you start it, it will roll out independently searching for enemies, friends or salvageable neutral grids. Once it finds something, it will stop and activate its beacon, notifying you immedietly.

In an attempt to colonize a Mars-like planet these small, independent robots are tasked with survey, prospecting and finally teraforming. This cheap, energy efficient rolling robot is able to look for possible enemies or shipwrecks.

Just turn it on and and it will roll in a circular route, reporting if it finds what you are looking for.

Special "rolling" propulsion:

- Energy efficient = longer independent life
- Cannot be flipped
- Can traverse very steep slopes
- Will generaly stay in the area where it is released, moving in 2km circles

In just 8 blocks the Microbot is equiped with a:
- Beacon
- Sensor
- rolling propulsion
- reactor
- some rounded heavy armor to help it roll better

Special instructions:
- the Microbot will move in a very large circle - you can adjust it using the gyro
- don't forget to adjust the sensor settings - Microbot can look for enemies, neutrals, friendly...

Amazingly, no scripts or even mods were used. Enjoy, and hopefully this inspires your own rolling robots. Stay tuned for more terraforming robots.

Also check out the Microbot 1 that specializes in ore detection:

thanks.

Good idea - they are cheap enough that you can send dozens of them to search for anything useful, and it still pays off.

i actually had a chance to use this. in my survival world im sending them out to look for my wrecks from failed landings on mars. although its very unlikely to actually find one.

It has a 5km antenna on - and those detect and broadcast information about friendly and enemy ships.

We need a multiple sensor and beacon one that tells you if its a lost friendly ship or a not so lost and not so friendly ship or metal chunks from a fight

This one looks for objects, enemies or whatever you set the sensor to look for. Microbot 1 looks for ore: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=700188745

does this stop and active the beacon when it finds ores too ?

This is awesome. That things like that can be done without scripts??? I see how it is done now that i think about it... Clever use of the standard commands on the sensors.
